Civilcraft’s latest project for long term client DP World is underway with the construction of a new facility at Port Botany’s largest and only fully integrated container logistics park. The new facility within the DP World Logistics facility at Port Botany will be used for the maintenance and cleaning of refrigerated containers.
The project will incorporate the construction of a new reinforced concrete slab that will allow empty containers to be placed at ground level so they can be tested and steam cleaned before being reused. As part of the works, we are also required to construct new stormwater infrastructure inclusive of pipes, cast in-situ pits, trench grate systems, as well as new electrical and communication infrastructure to facilitate the operations of the facility.
New galvanised steel awning structures resting on reinforced concrete footings will allow all refrigerated containers to be serviced undercover, while the construction of surrounding transition pavements will provide seamless access to the facility from any direction.
As the site is a highly trafficked port environment, our project management team have worked closely with DP World Logistics to develop a programme that will ensure there are no interruptions to their operations for the duration of the project.
With the new facility due to commence operations by the end of the year, we will be deploying multiple work crews to ensure this strict deadline is achieved.
Civilcraft looks forward to working with the team at DP World Logistics to deliver these works.
