Civilcraft was awarded the reconstruction of the 4th Squadron concrete apron at RAAF Base Williamtown. The project required intricate knowledge of airfield pavement construction and detailed methodology in the demolition of pre-stressed concrete pavement.

  • Demolition of existing pre-stressed concrete pavement.
  • Remediation of contaminated subgrade material.
  • Compact and proof-roll subgrade.
  • Supply, place and compact new crushed rock basecourse layer.
  • Bituminous prime coat.
  • Supply and place airfield asphaltic concrete.
  • Installation of new storm-water drainage and construction of new slot drain and catch pit.
  • Construction of new heavy-duty 4.8MPa flexural strength concrete apron.
  • Linemarking and linemarking removal.
  • Decommissioning and Installation of new airfield lighting.
