Department of Defence c/o Downer – Slab Replacement Works

Civilcraft was awarded slab replacements at RAAF Base Richmond located in Sydney’s West. The slabs that were reconstructed were located at the Western Tarmac and the Engine Run-up Bay. The works were carried out during normal working hours and therefore required coordination with RAAF personnel to ensure minimum disruption to the day to day operation of the Base.

• Service identification.
• Detailed demolition and removal of concrete slabs.
• Compaction of existing basecourse.
• Core drilling and affixing of dowel bars into adjacent slabs.
• Construction of new heavy-duty 4.8MPa flexural strength concrete.
