Ventia – Lane Cove Tunnel Demolition and Reconstruction of block retaining wall

Civilcraft was engaged by Ventia to undertake the demolition and reconstruction of the block wall CP11 Westbound within Lane Cove Tunnel. Works were staged to be undertaken at night during tunnel shutdowns in order to eliminate any possible effect on traffic. Civilcraft ensures all high-risk activities were efficiently mitigated throughout works; inclusive of working at heights and the implementation of exclusion zones during demolition due to the constricted working area.

Summary of works:

• Establishment of site exclusion zones and protection of surrounding services, pavement and walls prior to demolition works.
• Demolition of existing block wall with associated hazard controls in place.
• Erection of access scaffolding.
• Construction of new block wall and subsequent concrete block fill.
• Installation of fire door.
• Painting of constructed block wall and installation of wall lining panels.
