Aeria Management Group – Camden Airport Stormwater and Carpark Upgrade

Civilcraft was awarded the contract to upgrade the existing stormwater and car park infrastructure at Camden Airport in Cobbitty, NSW. The project aimed to enhance facilities for current tenants and ensure the airport’s long-term viability. It successfully resolved flooding issues that tenants experienced during rainfall by upgrading both the car park and stormwater systems in line with industry standards.

The project was completed ahead of schedule in the first quarter of 2024, earning overwhelmingly positive feedback from tenants. This achievement underscores Civilcraft’s construction expertise and dedication to delivering high-quality projects, marking a significant milestone for Aeria Management Group.

This work included the following:

  • Site establishment and installation of temporary delineation devices.
  • Demolition and excavation of existing pavement to make way for new infrastructure.
  • Supply & installation of stormwater service infrastructure, including concrete encased pipes, pits, and box culverts.
  • Construction of concrete trench drains and in-situ concrete pits.
  • Re-instatement of taxiway crossings and linemarking following box culverts installation.
  • Construction of reinforced concrete headwalls at the outlets of the box culverts.
  • Widening of taxiway intersections with asphalt.

Despite the scale and complexity of this project, Civilcraft successfully overcame several key challenges and risks:

  • Program and sequencing of the works to complete the work on-time and within budget.
  • Minimising the work footprint to allow the continued operations of surrounding flying schools and tenants.
  • Client Aeria Management Group
  • Location Camden Airport, Cobbitty NSW
